Guitar Lessons

Contemporary guitar lessons are offered to students of a wide variety of ages, levels, and styles of guitar playing and performance. We also have many self-taught adult students who have hit a wall and are now looking for some direction. We have been very successful helping these students break into the next level of playing knowledge and skill while keeping it light and relaxed. Instruction will be based on what individual students or parents of the students are looking to achieve. All students will learn foundational concepts such as basic chording, notes, theory, tablature basics, strumming patterns, and rhythms before moving on to more advanced concepts. Students are encouraged to pick out songs that they would like to learn. We begin enrolling most guitar students at age 6 or 7 depending on the size and maturity of the student. As usual, parents are welcome to drop their child off for lessons, sit in the waiting area, or observe their child’s lesson in the studio.
All students will need an instrument to practice on at home. If you need recommendations on what to purchase, we are happy to help! Many students simply meet with an instructor for the free trial lesson without an instrument and then the instructor will give them information on what to rent or purchase.
